On February 24, community leaders, residents, and partners gathered at the Beaver County Courthouse for an inspiring America250PA Kickoff Rally, a moment that officially launched local excitement for the United States’ 250th anniversary.

On behalf of The Beaver County America250 Committee and the Beaver County Board of Commissioners, we are proud to announce the recipients of the America250 Beaver County Mini-Grant Program, an initiative designed to support boroughs, townships, municipalities, and organizations in developing special events, programs, and projects commemorating the United States’ 250th Anniversary.

America250 in Beaver County is not a single ceremony, weekend, or ribbon cutting, it is a county-wide, multi-year effort to honor our past, engage our present, and inspire our future.

As the nation approaches the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, Beaver County is embracing this milestone in a way that reflects who we are: collaborative, creative, and deeply connected to our communities.

In 2026, the United States will commemorate 250 years since signing the Declaration of Independence, a once-in-a-generation milestone known as America250. But long before fireworks and formal celebrations, the story of America was already unfolding right here in Beaver County.

When Americans reflect on the nation’s founding, the spotlight often falls on iconic cities like Philadelphia, Boston, and New York. But the story of America did not end with independence, it moved west, shaped by rivers, rugged terrain, and communities willing to build something new at the edge of the unknown. That westward story runs directly through Beaver County.
